Sberbank approves up to 3 bln euro financing for Arctic LNG-2
MOSCOW, Jan 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s top bank Sberbank approved financing of up to 3 billion euros for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project Arctic LNG-2 in December 2020, the bank’s Deputy CEO Anatoly Popov told reporters on Thursday.
“The Arctic LNG-2 project is very important for our bank, the bank approved financing with a limit of up to 3 billion euros this December,” he said.
The Arctic LNG-2 plant will be launched in 2022–2025 with the fields of the Gydan Peninsula in the north of West Siberia used as the resource base. The facility is to produce 19.8 million tonnes of LNG per year.
